DESCRIPTION
During this performance I ran, fell to the ground, got up and ran again, repeatedly, for two hours inside a limited space.
CONCEPTUAL
Through this repetitive action, I sought to evidence the constant and latent state of vulnerability which determines women’s day to day lives, a never ending state that is difficult to overcome. This state manifests itself through physical and psychological acts of gender violence, which take place in both public and private spaces and in social media. Every time I fell to the ground, I was this vulnerability: the physical impact caused by falling exposes and highlights it. By isolating the act and emphasizing it, it becomes clearer and also unavoidable.
DESCRIPCIÓN
Durante esta acción corrí, caí, me golpeé, me levanté, volví a correr y caer repetidamente durante dos horas dentro de un espacio delimitado.
CONCEPTUAL
A través de esta acción repetitiva se busca evidenciar el estado de vulnerabilidad constante y latente propia de la existencia de las mujeres, un estado que nunca termina y que es difícil de superar. Este estado se manifiesta a través de actos de violencia de género, física y psíquica, que suceden tanto en el espacio público y el privado como en las redes sociales. En cada caída se refleja esta vulnerabilidad: el impacto físico la expone, la pone en evidencia y la recorta. Al aislar el acto y remarcarlo, no sólo se hace más evidente, sino también ineludible.
