I break through a wall with a hammer, pounding until exhaustion forces me to stop, my arms too heavy to lift anymore. I gather the fragments scattered across the floor and use them to construct a new, semi-enclosed circular space with cement. I remain inside for hours.
The unsafe and hostile environment in which I grew up created an urgent instinct for survival and left me with endless questions about the meaning of safety—both external and internal. In this action, I built a large matrix that offered only partial protection, creating the illusion of safety and peace while remaining fundamentally insecure. I never knew anything different. I only knew how to replicate the idea of home that shaped me: coldness, exposure, and fragility.

Rompo una pared con un martillo, golpeando hasta que el agotamiento me obliga a detenerme, con los brazos demasiado pesados para seguir. Recojo los fragmentos esparcidos por el piso y construyo con ellos un nuevo espacio circular, semi-cerrado, utilizando cemento. Permanezco allí dentro durante horas.
El entorno inseguro y hostil en el que crecí generó en mí una urgencia por sobrevivir y dejó abiertas muchas preguntas sobre el verdadero significado de un espacio seguro, tanto externo como interno. En esta acción, construí una gran matriz que sólo ofrecía una protección parcial: una ilusión de seguridad y paz que, en realidad, seguía siendo profundamente insegura. Nunca conocí otra cosa. Sólo supe replicar la idea de hogar que me formó: frialdad, exposición y fragilidad.
