Echo of a Body is a video performance set within the intimate space of the artist’s studio, where she confronts an image of her own face being surgically intervened on the screen of her computer. This encounter triggers a profound dialogue with her bodily history, questioning her identity, her self-perception, and the multiple versions of herself that coexist within her. The work explores the tension between the physical and the symbolic, between what is seen and what is felt, turning the body into an archive in constant transformation. Through the digital reflection and her gestures toward that image, the artist reconstructs herself, revealing a body that is simultaneously wound, echo, and the possibility of repair. Time folds, scars cease to be linear, and the image becomes a territory of memory and resistance.
Echo of a Body es una videoperformance que tiene lugar en el espacio íntimo del estudio de la artista, donde se confronta con una imagen de su rostro siendo intervenido quirúrgicamente en la pantalla de su computadora. Esta escena detona un diálogo profundo con su historia corporal, cuestionando su identidad, la percepción de sí misma y las múltiples versiones que la habitan. La obra explora la tensión entre lo físico y lo simbólico, entre lo visible y lo sentido, haciendo del cuerpo un archivo en constante transformación. A través del reflejo digital y los gestos hacia esa imagen, la artista se reconstruye, revelando un cuerpo que es a la vez herida, eco y posibilidad de reparación. El tiempo se pliega, las cicatrices dejan de ser lineales, y la imagen se convierte en territorio de memoria y resistencia.
