I have been drawing forever; it was my first way of saying something when I didn’t yet have language to name it. With those drawings I started to imagine actions that would later translate into performances: drawing as the first device, before the body in situation. Over time, the process reversed: now I draw my performances, their remains, and their impossibilities. I also draw what cannot happen in reality, what no body, time, or context could sustain. These drawings function both as scores for action and as an archive of what can only exist on the level of imagination.
Dibujo desde siempre; fue mi primera forma de decir algo cuando todavía no tenía lenguaje para nombrarlo. Con esos dibujos empecé a imaginar acciones que más tarde se traducirían en performances: el dibujo como primer dispositivo, antes del cuerpo en situación. Con el tiempo, el proceso se invirtió: ahora dibujo mis performances, sus restos y sus imposibles. Dibujo también lo que no puede suceder en la realidad, aquello para lo que no hay cuerpo, tiempo ni contexto posible. Estos dibujos funcionan a la vez como partituras de acción y como archivo de lo que solo puede existir en el plano de la imaginación.
